Three teens are wanted for questioning in the shooting outside a Queens charter school that left a 16-year-old girl wounded, police said Tuesday.
Cops released surveillance photos of the three teen boys, labeling them “persons of interest,” and asked the public’s help identifying them and tracking them down.
A fight erupted near New Dawn Charter High School II on 161st St. near 89th Ave. in Jamaica Hills and shots rang out about 3:55 p.m. Monday
A stray slug struck the girl in the shoulder. She was rushed to Long Island Jewish Medical Center in stable condition.
The girl wasn’t involved in the fight, leading police to believe she wasn’t the intended target.
Surveillance videos shows the trio of teens being sought be police going just after the shooting into Atomic Wings on Hillside Ave. around the corner from where the gunplay occurred, officials said.
All three suspects are described as black and in their teens or early 20s with thin builds. Two were wearing black hoodies and dark-colored pants. One of the suspects was wearing a red jacket and white-colored sleeves.
