I don’t know enough about vaccine production to understand how they are made. That being said, if it involves the production of novel viruses to subsequently reverse-engineer, then I’m against it.
Human error will always be present, in every scientific environment. I’m a bit sketched out to think about facilities that hold multitudes of deadly viruses that could potentially be carried out by an unwitting host.
Again, I believe vaccines to be a modern medical miracle, but I don’t believe we should create potentially deadly pandemic-viruses in order to to create vaccines for these hypothetical futures. It appears to risky to me
