One year after taking a serious spill on the runaway at the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection, Susan Lucci skipped the runway.

The 73 year old soap opera legend hit the red carpet in an elegant red dress at the event, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Wednesday.

Lucci was in attendance with her husband Helmet Huber, who the Emmy winning actress has been married to since 1969.

Lucci was wearing a strapless form-fitting red dress with a red ruffled shawl over her arms and shoulders.

She had her hair worn up with long dangling earrings and a silver watch and bracelet adorning her wrists.

She completed her look with a pair of red pumps at the event.

The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection is an annual event held in New York.

According to the official site, is, ‘an exclusive event where dozens of diverse personalities strut down the catwalk shining a light on heart disease in women.’

At last year’s event, Lucci made headlines by taking a tumble in a billowing red dress, but Lucci took it in stride, getting to her feet and getting a standing ovation.

While Lucci was in attendance for this year’s event, she watched from the front row, cheering on the celebrities walking the runway with her husband.

This year’s event was hosted by Tamron Hall, with celebrity models such as Heather Graham, Jeri Ryan, Jennifer Tilly, Bailee Madison and more.

The event also featured performances from Meghan Trainor and Shania Twain.

Lucci is best known for playing Erica Kane in the iconic soap opera All My Children, which she played from 1970 to 2011.

She was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series 18 times before finally getting her first win in 1999.

ABC canceled All My Children after 41 years on the air in 2011, with Lucci moving on to star in Hot in Cleveland and Devious Maids.
