Katie Couric may be best known for the 15 years she spent as anchor of NBC’s Today show. But since departing the No. 1 morning show in 2006, Couric has gone on to anchor the CBS Evening News, host her own syndicated daytime TV show, and create an eponymous production company. The award-winning journalist has been a longtime advocate in the fight against colon cancer, and is the founder of Stand Up to Cancer which has raised more than $600 million and contributed to six new FDA approved drugs for various cancers.When Couric is not fighting cancer or fighting social injustice she’s busy fighting hunger.Adweek’s chief community officer Nadine Dietz sat down with Couric to talk about all of this and more for this week’s edition of CMO Moves.
